So this is what we did last Friday when we were bored. I think we will be doing this more often.

This is just the first pass and not the final edit, but it looks great!

For the first time ever, a tie!

Kylea and another girl both tied for the win of the new school design. So the school decided to combine the two images since they were of similar style. We are all very excited about it.

Guess I am going to have to follow through on my deal with her. If she gets good a drawing and writing her letters I would get her spray pant and take her to places where she can graffiti. Anyone know of any places where it is legal to spray paint?

Open house tonight

But for two kids in the same school. Natalea for Kinder and Devin for 3rd grade.

I sent emails out to both teachers to try to figure out how it will work tonight. Shawn has to work so it will just be me. And I refuse to let Natalea's mom take her to her class without me.

So no matter what, things will be interesting tonight. Wish me luck.

Kylea in the finals!

All the kids in art class for Kylea's middle school were asked to submit a design for the schools new shirts. Right before Kylea switched out of Art class she submitted her design.

She drew it out and then had Shawn put it in photoshop so he could email it over to her teacher. The school is now down to 10 submissions and Kylea's is one of them!!!

I will update everyone once I here the results, but win or not it is still way cool to make it in the finals.

Kirsten is leaving

She decided to move back in with her mom. I am not happy about it but there is nothing I can do about it.

We still have her birthday trip to six flags planned for the 19th so that will be good. Not sure what is going to happen after that. Kylea is very upset about the whole situation. But then again she is not the best with change.

She is already missing school but it is not up to her mom to make sure she goes. And with only 2 years left of high school she should be able to see her through it.

School has started

The mornings are crazy around my house. I can't get to work on time and it is annoying. I hope by the end of this month to have things in routine again.

I think Kirsten is moving back in with her mom. At least that is what she said, but she has not come by to get her things yet. Not to mention one week with her mom and she has already missed 3 classes on 2 different days. But what can I do except nothing.

I hope to have some pictures up from the all girls tubing trip soon.

HPV Vaccination

This is why I still will not allow my daughter to get the shot. I still think there is a connection.

As of June 1, 2009, there have been 43 U.S. reports of death among females who have received the vaccine. Twenty six of these reports have been confirmed, 9 are still under investigation, and 8 remain unconfirmed due to no identifiable patient information in the report such as a name and contact information to confirm the report. Confirmed reports are those that scientists have followed up on and have verified the claim. In the 26 reports confirmed, there was no unusual pattern or clustering to the deaths that would suggest that they were caused by the vaccine.

Long car rides

Been awhile

since I posted last.

Kirsten has extended her visit to her Dad's until 8/7/09. Nice long visit and well over due since she has not seen him in like 3 years.

Kylea has been helping babysit at our house and at others. Nothing to much exciting for her this summer.

Devin is away right now. Three week with his dad, most of it in OK visiting family. Now his three weeks with me will be all visiting other people. He is in Uvalde right now with Shonna and next week he will be in Port Lavaca with my mom.

Natalea has not had her schedule changed at all this summer. But we did get her enrolled in Devin's school for next year!!!

That is all on the kids for now. I am going to try to keep up with this more. But we will see.

Summer update

Real quick

Next year we will have Kirsten in 10th grade, Kylea in 8th, Devin in 3rd and Natalea in K. Not to mention Shawn will be on his last year of school too.

I took Kirsten to the airport this morning to go to her Dad's for a couple weeks. I have to go back to the airport this afternoon to pick up Kylea's friend who is going to be staying with us for about 6 weeks.

Now to juggle all the family visit I want the kids to do this year.

That gets said a lot around my house. Even more so now that Shawn actually moved in.

fixer of all this electronic and my car

he also knows a ton about a lot of random stuff

and can help with homework for all the kids.

So everyone goes to mom, and if I don't know about it (see above list) I always say "go ask Shawn".

It is so nice having him around!

The big move

Will be taking place by the end of April. We decided to stay in the same house as well. We are already making it work and the rent is good.

Chocolate covered candy coated goodness

This is what is left of my little container of chocolate covered sunflower seeds. Yes, I know it sounds weird, but they are so good!!!! If you happen to get a chance to get some I think you should give it a try.

Teenagers

Yep I now have two teenagers in my house.

Kylea's birthday party was this past Saturday and went pretty well. She only got mad a few times for the adults "stalking" the kids. We did not let the boys and girls go in the other room alone together at all. But everyone still had fun.

My friend Coby did a great job being the DJ and playing all the bad songs the kids wanted to hear, some over and over again.

Wow a month already

since my last post. I would say I am slacking but really it is a time thing.

Work has been insane for me lately. Lost of changes in the logistics world so I am trying to take on new projects so that way if my company does end up doing away with in house shipping I will have somewhere to go. I am down to only one night at Chon Som, which is very good. But I have added college on my schedule again. Just one class right now but I am glad to be back at it.

One good thing is that my iron is good. I don;t have to go back till July. I expect it to be good at that check up since I am getting the NovaSure surgery in a couple weeks. This will mean less blood out of my body and I am pretty sure it will help with the iron.

So we are down to 5 months for the big move in together. So far we have only seen 4 bedroom houses available top rent. It would be nice to find a 5 bedroom but not sure if there will be one available when we need it.
